For RUBY VIBE, we transformed their iconic "Juicy Kiss" lip gloss into a jaw-dropping, 1.5-meter-tall acrylic display prop. This isn't just a marketing gimmick; it's a feat of engineering and craftsmanship designed to stop crowds in their tracks. Let's pull back the curtain on how we brought this giant beauty product to life.

Step 1: Precision Scanning & Digital Modeling

The journey began with the smallest element: the actual lip gloss sample. To ensure the giant prop was an exact, scaled replica, we started with high-precision 3D scanning. This process captured every curve, contour, and detail of the original product, from the shape of the applicator wand to the subtle taper of the bottle.

The scan data was then imported into CAD software, where our design team meticulously scaled it up to a towering 7 meters. This digital model served as the master blueprint, ensuring that every millimeter of the final structure would be a perfect, proportional representation of the "Juicy Kiss" product. This step is critical; it's the foundation that guarantees the final piece looks authentic, not just a vague approximation.

 

Step 2: Acrylic Heat Bending: Shaping the Giant

For the main body of the giant lipstick, we chose high-grade acrylic for its exceptional clarity, durability, and ability to be shaped into complex forms. The process of bringing the digital model to life relied heavily on acrylic heat bending.

1. Material Preparation: We cut large sheets of acrylic to the precise dimensions derived from our 3D model.

2. Heat Forming: Using specialized heating equipment, we carefully applied controlled heat to specific areas of the acrylic. This softened the material, allowing our skilled craftsmen to bend it into the cylindrical shape of the lipstick tube and the slender form of the applicator wand.

3. Assembly: The bent acrylic sections were then precision-cut and joined together. This required meticulous attention to detail to ensure the seams were seamless and the overall structure was perfectly cylindrical and stable.

 

Step 3: Surface Finishing: Matte & Glossy Perfection

A great structure is only as good as its finish. To match the premium feel of the RUBY VIBE brand, we employed a multi-stage surface treatment process:

1. Frosted Finish: The outer clear sleeve of the lipstick tube was treated with a matte/frosted finish. This diffuses the light, giving it a soft, luxurious, and slightly opaque appearance, which beautifully contrasts with the vibrant red of the inner "product" visible through it. This technique also helps to minimize fingerprints and smudges, keeping the display looking pristine.

2. Custom Spray Painting: The main body of the lipstick and the applicator received a high-quality, custom spray paint job. We matched the exact RUBY VIBE brand colors, including the iconic red of the product and the striking gradient effect on the base of the applicator holder. Multiple layers of paint were applied, followed by a clear topcoat, to ensure a deep, vibrant, and durable finish that can withstand the elements and the test of time.
